<DIV>Roger,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't blame White for the lowered enrollment at UI. That is the result of Hoover. The cutting of Facilities Management was going on before he got there. Students choose to fund and to support the Diversity aspects. I agree with you on the rest of it, but they are trivial. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I do agree he could have done better in some areas, but he was a big step up from Hoover. I liked him because he actually showed interest in Graduate Students and improving the programs. He meet with us, he helped us, and most important, he listened. I never really got that from Hoover or the other presidents. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Best Regards,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Donovan<BR><BR><B><I>lfalen <lfalen@turbonet.com></I></B> wrote:</DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE class=replbq style="PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: #1010ff 2px solid">Mo asked " what do you have against Whit?". enrollment of UI has gone down while other universities enrollment has gone up. He has hired to many unnecessary high paid administrators reduced staffing of Facilities Management and neglected needed maintenance. He spent a lot of money on developing a new logo ( twice). He unnecessarily painted over the old logo on the water towers. Diversity is fine but is should not be the the main emphasis of the University. The focus of University should be on research and education. That is the true mission of a University.<BR>Roger<BR><BR>=======================================================<BR>List services made available by First Step Internet, <BR>serving the communities of the Palouse since 1994. <BR>http://www.fsr.net <BR>mailto:Vision2020@moscow.com<BR>=======================================================<BR></BLOCKQUOTE><BR><p>
