w:st="on">Moscow</st1:City> campus ceremony is at 9:30 a.m. in the <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">ASUI-Kibbie</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Activity</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType>, and the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">College</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Law</st1:PlaceName></st1:place> ceremony is 3:30 p.m. in Memorial Gymnasium. The Moscow-based candidates have applied for 1,096 bachelor's degrees, 91 law degrees, 43 doctoral degrees, four specialist degrees and 195 master's degrees.<o:p></o:p></span></font></pre><pre><font

For Melissa Newhouse, earning a bachelor's degree in accounting is part of a cherished family tradition that stretches back to her great grandfather. It is the highest honor awarded for screenplays at the annual WorldFest International Film Festival in <st1:City
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Houston</st1:place></st1:City>. The Remi awards are named in honor of the late American painter and sculptor, Frederic Remington. To fuel her drama, Norton combined fact and fiction, and based her screenplay on the premise of a hacker taking over the Navy AEGIS defense system. A native of Salmon, <st1:State
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Idaho</st1:place></st1:State>, Norton has penned two published novels and eight screenplays. w:st="on">Idaho</st1:PlaceName></st1:place> laboratory to measure biodiesel blend levels is the winner of the University's 2008 Business Plan Competition. A team of students and the faculty member who invented the device collaborated to develop a feasible business plan for the patent-pending ultraviolet spectrophotometry testing system. Presented under the company name of Accelerated Precision, this innovative product enables any supplier, retailer or regulatory agency that sells or uses biodiesel to ensure the blend level is correct. Team members are Scott Black, a senior in civil engineering from Glenns Ferry; Mark Hoge, a senior in business management from Blackfoot; and Shawn Britton, a senior in operations management from Moscow. The three students will split the $6,000 cash prize. Dev Shrestha, assistant professor of bioenergy, is the faculty adviser. The Accelerated Precision team will now compete against other <st1:State
w:st="on">Idaho</st1:State> schools in an early stage venture capital educational event at the Idaho TechLaunch in <st1:City

w:st="on">Idaho</st1:PlaceName></st1:place> track and field program as a javelin and discus thrower. During his career, he has never been far from Vandal athletics. Hagedorn recently made a generous donation of $25,000 to help "his" team - track and field - purchase a new state-of-the-art timing system, pole vault pit and high jump pit. In 2004, Hagedorn donated $100,000 to renovate the track and field offices in memory of Mike Ryan, who was his coach at <st1:State
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Idaho</st1:place></st1:State>.
