<div>Nor is Moscow the most "progressive" city in Idaho, in my opinion. Boise's north side is more progressive than Moscow, having elected the only openly gay member of the Idaho legislature. Do you think the Moscow area could pull this off? Need I point out the large anti-gay voting block in our area?:</div>

<div>In one of the early surprises of the 2008 legislative session, a Senate committee voted Monday to introduce a bill to protect gays and lesbians from discrimination.
<p>Just as quickly, the bill could be dead. Maybe not a surprise, but a disappointment anyway.</p></div>
