back to last November (in the midst of football season) when Time-Warner
discontinued carrying KAYU (a Fox affiliate that televises Seahawks games).
Prior to this “termination of services” by Time-Warner, both
DirectTV and Dish were anticipating an increase in sales of approximately 25%
to 30%. Then Time-Warner dropped KAYU. As a result DirectTV
realized an increase in sales in excess of 400% in the Palouse region.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

a television station that has been televising Seattle Seahawks games for a
number of years, in the middle of football season in a region whose football fans
are virtually addicted to Seahawk football, it kinda cut into their bottom

and I am glad I did. Now, instead of tuning into Raider football on my
computer, I get to watch them lose live and in color (which seems a bit moronic
since Raiders colors are silver and black) thanks to DirectTV’s Game Plan.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

Our contract with TW expired. We are first TV station out of the box<br>

has ruled that cable systems must either pay<br>
television, or can't carry them. We had been negotiating with TW for<br>

months to no avail.<br>

The reality is that cable subscribers are already being charged for us.<br>
We're just not getting the money. Do you really think subscribers would<br>
be<br>
willing to pay what they are for cable if they received NONE of the<br>
over the<br>
air stations?<br>

We are compensated by other cable systems as well as by both satellite<br>
providers. <br>

We continue to work hard to resolve the situation. We would like to get<br>
this<br>
settled today! Believe me, we are as frustrated as you. <br>
