Believe me, I'm human to a fault and then some; as a matter of fact, I'm occasionally even a real snot. As I've said before, my faith -- would you feel better if I call it a "personal belief system"? -- requires that be kind and truthful. It doesn't require that I always act nice.<br><br>You're right, of course, in that "slander" as a legal term hasn't been proved in court. I would have had to prove an absolute, direct, tangible loss -- for example, of income for my business (I don't have one, though), or if I could prove that I lost an election because of something he said. As my attorney said, the only missing is the one thing I'd need. But really, Gary, how do you ever prove that someone voted one way because of a particular reason or not? Now, I know that a few folks will crow gleefully, "Aha! THAT'S why she didn't run for reelection! Gotcha!" But, alas -- I was very clear why I didn't run, and a subsequent medical diagnosis proved that it was a good decision for me to make at the time.<br><br>However, the fact that Dale has lied about me in print on his blog twice, and has further refused to acknowledge my attempts to correct him, to apologize, or to acknowledge his error, is indisputable. Not that you care. But he should, and so should the good Christian men with whom he serves at Christ Church. That he doesn't neither surprises nor dismays me, though. to his using this format is that items of interest to him are not

fine job of expressing and defending his view points, as did Rose. The
difference was that Dale was the lone mongoose in the viper pit and Rose
sang with the choir. I perfectly understand how being the minority
voice can become tiresome and, eventually, not worth the effort. In
conversations I have had with Dale I have done my best, sorry as it is, to
convince and encourage him to rejoin the fray. Lord knows I would
enjoy an additional conservative voice here to help sing the
counterpoint to the rest of ya'lls dreary dirge. Do I have "distain and
censure" for Rose and her new endeavor? Not hardly, I'm not wild about the
fact that it doesn't allow for comments (as Dale's does) but I have been
assured that this is but a temporary thing and will change "soon." I have
been informed that comments must fall within "appropriate parameters" and
this IS a type of censorship I'm not particularly fond of. I truly fail
to see how anything I have posted might be construed as being in favor of
limiting anyone's free expression. You seem to be laboring under the
erroneous and fatuous assumption that Rose and I are enemies of
some sort. Nothing could be further from the truth. We get on rather well,
all things considered and I wish her nothing but the best in
her latest whimsy and I hope that it doesn't suffer the same
ignoble fate that lil' Joannie's did.</font></div>

is my contention that more light (and heat) is shed in an unmediated,

color) for hashing out the topics de jour as opposed to having to listen
(read) someone hold forth ad nauseum.</font></div>
