size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman">The Moscow Food Co-op is sponsoring a series
of three cooking classes in May for those who want to include wholesome organic
and non-meat alternatives to their family diets. <SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN></FONT></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 0.5in"><FONT
face="Times New Roman" size=3>The classes will be held on May 9, 16, and 23, at
<st1:time Hour="17" Minute="30">5:30pm</st1:time> in the basement kitchen area
at the Unitarian Universalist Church in
<st1:City><st1:place>Moscow</st1:place></st1:City>. Enrollment is limited
to 30 per class and reservations are required (tickets are available from any
Co-op cashier). The cost is $18 per class. Each class will include a
one-hour cooking demonstration, followed by sampling and discussion.
Recipe cards will be provided for all the recipes used. </FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 0.5in"><FONT
face="Times New Roman" size=3>The class on May 9th is entitled “A<SPAN
style="mso-bidi-font-family: Arial">dding non-meat alternatives to your family
diet:</SPAN> Cooking with Tofu,” and will be taught by Co-op newsletter
columnist Hope Von Stengel.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The
class will focus on preparing Banana Honey Pudding and a Chinese Style Tofu
Sauté with rice.<BR><SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN><SPAN
style="mso-tab-count: 1">
</SPAN>The class on May 16<SUP>th</SUP> is entitled “A<SPAN
style="mso-bidi-font-family: Arial">dding non-meat alternatives to your family
diet:</SPAN> Cooking with Tempeh,” and will be taught by Co-op Deli Supervisor
James Agenbroad.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Tempeh. a
soybean-based fiber-rich food, will be prepared as Gingered Tempeh Pasta
Salad.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Agenbroad will provide other
tempeh recipes to try at home (including Barbecued Tempeh and Sweet and Sour
Tempeh), and will also provide a historical and nutritional overview of
tempeh.</FONT></P>

</SPAN>MaryJane Butters, <st1:City><st1:place>Moscow</st1:place></st1:City>’s
well-known organic pioneer, will teach a class on May 23<SUP>rd</SUP> entitled
“Buying organic on a budget; preparing quick organic meals.”<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>She will explain how anyone can buy
organic food, even on a budget.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>She
will demonstrate how to shop for organic food and will provide examples of easy
preparation of fresh organic ingredients.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>
