<P>Moscow Police Chief Dan Weaver has declared homicide as the cause of death of 

a 21-year-old University of Idaho student who was found dead in his apartment 

early Saturday.</P>

<P>He also said police have no suspects at this time.</P>

<P>The victim has been identified as David Robert Boss, a senior at UI who is 

originally from Boise. The apparent cause of death was a single gun shot to the 

head inside an apartment at 1218 South Main St.</P>

<P>The victim was discovered when his roommate returned from a night out about 

1:45 a.m. Duke said the roommate found the victim on the floor in the kitchen 

and called 911.</P>

<P>Boss was declared dead at the scene.</P>

<P>Duke said Boss was last seen alive at 8:30 p.m. Friday by the roommate. Two 

people who live in an apartment above the victim’s reportedly told police they 

heard a “thump” between midnight and 12:30 a.m.
