<div>I agree that Gore deserves a lot of credit for addressing this issue. He is wealthy, and could be living in luxury out of the public eye, without taking on any causes that might inflict grief. He knew, I suspect, that becoming a major spokesperson for the dangers of global warming would make him a target for abuse in the media. And anyone who has seen the film "Inconvenient Truth" will discover that Gore's attention to human sourced CO2 induced global warming goes back decades...This is not some new cause he latched onto to become a media celebrity.
