<P><STRONG>On site daycare would be an ideal situation for so many working parents. . . that's why I was tickled pink when I thought it was going to become a reality for me. That was back in 1971. . . and if the Feds can't/wont lead the way by example, I think it's going to continue to be an issue my grandkids will struggle with as I did.</STRONG></P>
<P><STRONG>Daycare needs to be regulated with background checks of caregivers and regular health inspections of kitchens, play areas and sleeping facilities. We need to know our kids are safe.</STRONG></P>

This is something I have thought was a good idea for a long time for those companies that are big enough to do it. Obviously small companies can not. The statements by some Republicans that the voted against the day care bill, because mothers should stay at home is ridiculous. In an ideal world that would be desirable. There are many circumstances where that is not feasible. Single working mothers are only
one example. Day care is needed and they need to be safe.
