Sister City Association</SPAN></B> in Villa El Carmen. MSCA has never
achieved a large profile in <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">Moscow</st1:place></st1:City>, and this is a remarkable opportunity
for others in our fair city to know that we have this relationship and that for
over 20 years it has been maintained and produced some particularly wonderful
results. The trip by Dave is of great importance primarily because he is a
retired professional who can contribute meaningfully as a teacher and ambassador
while there, and importantly for those of us back here, scope out possibilities
for our more efficacious involvement. The cost of sending things is often
prohibitive, but what we have always needed to know is whether or what “things”
we send or contribute <U>mean</U> something once they arrive: ever the
question. He can see for himself and engage people to better understand
how we can make more of a difference. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

We are so interested in new (free) membership, but with so little money to
operate on, we usually opt to send something south rather than spend it on
promotions to expand our membership. There is a core group who do most of
the fundraising, and membership therefore pretty much means contributions.
