Donovan, I had an extensive talk with Gritman folks today. A
committee will be formed and I will be a member. Our goal is to
work with nursing homes to bring skilled nursing--nursing home care to
our community. The one that is most interested has 87 skilled
nursing bed plus about another 120. If talks with the local care
givers prove to be not fruitful, Gritman is committed to recruiting
others. The Spokane nursing home has about 60% medicaid patients
and thus serves indigents. I'll keep you posted. Jerry <br><br>

My advice to all of you is to get private health insurance because
otherwise you will moved out of town when you cannot take care of
yourself anymore. Gritman ain't going to take you otherwise. <br>

But the good news is the medical companies that will be occupying the new
building won't pay rent or property taxes and the car dealership will be
in Whitman County instead. <br>
