<DIV class=RTE>Jan Smith-Flores, a former Arizona Court of Appeals judge, is a friend of mine. She and my mother taught at the same school before she went to law school. In high school I stopped by her office occasionaly to vent because she was a good listener and always had decent, non-judgemental advice.</DIV>
<DIV class=RTE>A funny aside: Jan went to England for a semester and left her yellow Dodge Demon in my mother's care. I had been asked to wash and wax it, so had the keys and my mom had gone to the Grand Canyon.
