12.0pt'>Sorry Doug. I grant that this was meaningful, and I am thrilled at the
new sign of a rebirth in rational discourse from the Kirk. Truly refreshing.
However, this is not true. It had only been a couple of months since we had
stopped attending and the standard policy for Christ Church is to give those
who leave 6 months to find membership elsewhere before any concern or action is
taken. Further, we were not just released, but released “in bad
standing.” This impulsive release was just following my stated desire to
speak to the entire congregation as a member and just before an elder was
supposed to help me file formal charges. Lastly, the reason we ceased
attending Christ Church was because of Doug Wilson’s encouragement of one
kirker who had threatened litigation (said attorney was on retainer) and who
was acting in a highly insane and harassing manner. This was the most violent
behavior I experienced from the kirk, and instead of protecting me, the
leadership actually encouraged it. This was simply too frightening a thing for
us, so we found ourselves in the emotional situation of finally giving up on
our attendance until that was addressed. I explained all this to the elders
explicitly and demanded they correct <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Wilson</st1:City></st1:place>’s
scary actions. But they refused to do anything. I also aggressively protested
their unjustified and impulsive release “in bad standing” drawing
on their own principles and past practices; but they refused to even offer
meaningful comment. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
