It hurts graduate students more because they don't have qualifing alternative insurance from mommy and daddy and have children that are not covered by UI insurance at fair market rates. I know of students that had to drop out of school because of the neccessary required coverage to attend UI, which is way higher then any other higher educationial instutution in the Northwest. <br> <br> The Graduate students did research on this. We found that Blue Cross was cheaper, way cheaper then UI insurance and met all the legal requirements. However, we cannot get students on it because it takes three months to apply and get on it and students have to have health insurance within three weeks of the first day of class. So we cannot contact them in time during the dead center of Summer. UI and Gritman got it all figured out. <br> <br> I had the same thing happen to me
