Dinners<BR></B>The Moscow Food Co-op’s new twice-monthly Community Dinners
continue in September with dinners at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, and
Thursday, September 28, at the Co-op, 121 East Fifth Street,
Moscow.<BR><BR>Menus for September dinners:<BR><BR>Thursday, September

Soufflé with Mint Ice Cream<BR> <BR>Both dinners in September will be
prepared by Terry Feigenbutz, lead baker at the Co-op.<BR><BR>A maximum of
14 reservations is accepted for each dinner, and attendance is not limited to
Co-op members only. The dinners are intended to provide a place for people in
the community to meet and to enjoy good food and conversation. Cost per person
is $24, with wine sold separately by the glass. To make your reservation, see a

manager, 882-8537.<BR><BR><B>Art Opening<BR></B>James (Pete) A. Amell will open
a new art show at the Moscow Food Co-op from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday,
September, 8. The show will feature a selection of Amell’s works in pastels,
including portraits, landscapes, and animal studies.<BR><BR>Amell, a resident of
Troy, graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree,
then pursued a career with the Forest Service in fire management, including many
years as a smokejumper. During this time he discovered his love for pastels,
which were easy for him to set up and transport. Since he retired from the
Forest Service three years ago he has devoted more time to his
art.<BR><BR>Amell’s works will be on display in the deli gallery area at the
Co-op, 121 East Fifth Street, Moscow, from Friday, September 8 through Thursday,

882-8537.<BR><BR><B>Co-op Kids!<BR></B>Free activities for youngsters and their
caregivers are offered twice in September by Moscow Food Co-op volunteer Rebekka
Boysen-Taylor. At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, join her for an outdoor play
morning at Friendship Square in downtown Moscow, with healthy snacks provided by
the Co-op. At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19, children and their caregivers
should meet in the Co-op deli area for cork crafts. The Co-op is located at 121
