Tom,

Actually, I think for the most part voting is a waste of time. The elections are rigged from the start by the Democrats and Republicans who prevent everyone else from participating. Then they rig it so only the rich, powerful, and well connected can win. Then they rig it so that when a person does get in there they have to sell their soul and votes to the lobbyists to get the funding to stay in office.

95% of politicians become corrupt within one term. The other 5% are the ones that lose reelection or die in plane crashes. The more corrupt they are, they higher they go in office because s**t floats.

To answer your question, I think Brady would have voted the way the Democrats told him to vote on the bill, or his lobbyists, just like all the other politicians on the Hill. The EPA fined Otter incorrectly. Just because the government says you did something wrong, doesn't mean you did. I don't agree with Otter on every
issue, especially the selling of Idaho lands. But he is an effective, experienced leader, that will protect Idaho from Bush and his cronies.----A nice change from Kempthorne who has had his lips tightly stitched to Bush's ass for the last four years in the hopes of getting a cabinet position.

Best,

_DJA

Tom Ivie <the_ivies3@yahoo.com> wrote:
Just curious how you think Brady would have voted on the Patriot Act. Would it matter to you if either of the candidates had ever been fined by the EPA? The most important thing to remember is that you should vote - period..

Donovan Arnold <donovanjarnold2005@yahoo.com> wrote:
I don't have a thing against Brady. But I
am voting for Butch Otter for Governor. When the rest of Congress was supporting the Patriot Act, Butch Otter voiced against it, against threats from the President, and other Republican Party leaders. He did what was considered unpopular because he thought it was right and best for Idaho and US citizens, that they maintain their rights and privacy. That takes character and personal strength to go against all your coworkers, party leaders, and even the President who is the leader of your party.

I don't give a damn about Otter's personal life, he can have as many girlfriends, divorces, and affairs as he wants. I don't care what Otter does in his personal life or if he has a saggy butt or a tight ass in a pair of jeans, or that he is for removing the tariff on Roquefort cheese; just as long as he keeps my taxes low, and George W. from stripping away our Constitutional rights. I think that is a cheap shot to talk about a man's personal life and his new
bride as an object and not a person of her own merit.

Best,

_DJA

Tom Hansen <thansen@moscow.com> wrote:
From today's (August 17, 2006) Moscow-Pullman Daily News with a special thanks to Mark Reaney Jr..

--------------------------------------------------------

Vote Brady for governor

The Otter campaign has used “family values” and “devoted father” in their adds. Otter has been divorced from the Simplot family since 1992, has had several girlfriends, a DUI and won a tight jeans contest in a Boise bar, yet, he is mostly supported by the conservative right. Some say he’s getting married to his present girlfriend to improve his bachelor image.

Shortly after being re-elected to Congress, he announced he was running for governor. Wonder where his focus has been? Since in
Congress he can be associated with allowing for airstrips to be built in wilderness areas, the sale and exchange of public lands, supporting highly polluting coal-fired generation, supporting a feasibility study on water shortages in the Snake River (we already know the answer, people), extending water contracts for 19 ditch companies along the Snake, removing the tariff on Roquefort cheese and removing permit requirements from the Federal Water Pollution Control Act.

The bulk of Butch’s PAC contributions come from electrical utilities, other energy industries and telecommunications. His top overall contributers come from electrical utilities, forest and forest products, telecommunications, crop production and processing, oil and gas and health professionals, the same industries that contributed $12,201,644 to Bush (opensecrets.org).

Otter does not support Idaho education, has no regard for the land on which we live, but they say he’s
“quite charming.” Is this the kind of governor we need in Idaho? I say no way. Check out www.bradyforidaho.com

Mark D.
