style='font-size:12.0pt;color:black'>Greetings, as most of you know I have been
out of the office on vacation and today is my first day back. While I was
out I received several inquiries into Terry D.P. Wright’s condition. Here
is his status as of Monday evening July 17<sup>th</sup>, 2006.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 color=black face="Times New Roman"><span
style='font-size:12.0pt;color:black'>Terry D.P. Wright, the 35 year-old <st1:City
w:st="on">Moscow</st1:City> man who attempted suicide in the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Latah</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">County</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>
jail on July 7<sup>th</sup>, was ordered to the custody of his family on July
17<sup>th</sup>. Wright’s family had him removed from life support.
According to information given to our jail, Wright will receive comfort care
until which time he expires. As Wright is no longer legally in the
custody of the Latah County Sheriff’s Office (by judge’s order), no
further updates regarding Wright’s condition will be made available through
this office. Wright was arrested on July 6<sup>th</sup> by Moscow Police
Department on charges of Lewd Conduct with a minor child under the age of 16.
Wright apparently attempted to hang himself on July 7<sup>th</sup>, shortly
after his bail was set at $100,000. <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Latah</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">County</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>
jail staff, Idaho State Patrol, and Moscow Police Department officers attempted
to revive Wright while waiting approximately three minutes from the time of
dispatch for the Moscow Ambulance crew to take over life-saving efforts. Wright’s
status varied but was generally unstable throughout the day of the 7<sup>th</sup>.
Wright remains at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Gritman</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Medical</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>
receiving comfort care. No further information is available.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
