Austin,

You're absolutely right. I think the worst part about BBSs and List-servs and the lInterweb in general are that it's really easy to forget that there are actual people out there.

I apologize to anyone I offended, annoyed, bothered - I'm done.

Thanks.

On 6/13/06, Austin Storm <austinstorm@gmail.com> wrote:

A!,

It's true, J seems pretty crazy. The sad thing is that she doesn't seem to realize that none of the liberals like her, they just tolerate her because she is rabidly opposed to Christ Church (as her latest paranoid rant demonstrates). At one point she went to Doug Wilson's property and walked around taking pictures! She probably thought he would be at church, because it was the beginning of Daylight Savings Time. After that was the longest she has ever been quiet on Venom2020.

*But* from what I understand she has had a really tough time in life, so I just try not to respond to her outrageous posts. It's too easy, and does her no good.

-Austin

Actually, a "church", especially Christ Church, IS a business. Most run as
a non-profit one that has as their main goal to be a service to the
community and their congregation. CC's main goal is to enrich Dougie and
his entourage and quite occasionally pat his lordship on the back when he
feels he's done a fine job of messing....em, fixing things up. CC defiantly
is NOT a "not-for-profit" business. Sad fact is, they don't realize that we
all realize that truth.

BTW - CC/Dougie has set up several businesses in town, including the one(s)
for his children. Bad part about that is that when he get angry at the
"manager", they tend to lose that business rather quickly and without notice
(i.e. Zumes). I'd be watching my back if I were you Roy....not even you are
immune to Dougie's wrath if he gets enough of a head of steam going.

J :]

>From: "Adams 2020" <
>
>The Kirk? I guess you mean Captian James T. Kirk of the Starship
>Enterprise?
>To answer you question, I'm really more of a Picard/The Next Generation
>fan.
>The original series just doesn't do it for me - even with the new Star Trek
>2.0 coat of paint G4 has given it, I'd still rather watch TNG reruns.
>
>Also, I don't see how a church can require something to operate their
>business since a church is not a business. Maybe you meant "run of the
>mill"?
>
>Can you provide any examples to substantiate this claim? Like what sort of
>harm do they pray will befall their enemies? I'm just curious because that
>doesn't sound like something that goes on at church.
>
>A!
>
>
>If Adams knows a thing about the Kirk, he'd know that imprecatory prayers
>--
>prayers asking God to hurt one's enemies -- are a stock in trade at Christ
>Church.
