We are number 14 in the world right now. But the difference between the top ten and the rest is pretty drastic. NZ, UK, AUS, SA,WALES, ARG, IRE, SCO, FRA, ITALY, all play a completely different game than that of the US and Canada.
<br><br>But look at soccer, another age old sport that has exploded in the states and a short 20 or so years later the USA goes to the world cup ranked 5th in the world. Perhaps our children will play grade A rugby.<br><br>

<div>Don't think that you could really expect much more out of the US team. America has a long way to go before it'll be competitive with the rest of the world in rugby. Historically, I wouldn't be suprised if some of the american sports are considered flashes in the pan. Rugy's lasted for hundreds of years for a reason and is growing in popularity. Football has huge popularity in America, but has had to morph quite a bit. Ah, but don't get me started about football.

<div>The USA national rugby team lost its second match of the Churchill Cup last night. They fell to the New Zealand All Black Maori side 74-6. This is extremely embarrassing for the Eagles. My Churchill cup final prediction - NZ Maori vs. Scotland. You can also expect the USA to face Canada in the consolation final.
