You go on about the 17 different places in the
Bible where homosexuality is condemned openly and justify that with the fact
that other things are condemed also. Ok.... fine.. I haven't
heard anyone guilty of any of them justifying their sin with..."Oh, well it's
all right, the Bible condems homosexuality in the same verse." If the
Bible condems your lifestyle openly 17 times, why would you believe it only
makes one very week, veiled (and in fact, non-existent) reference to its
justification?

Bottom line is this: I don't care one way or

interpretation, justification, whatever you wish to call it... in a public forum
and I challenged it.

I really don't wish to discuss this with you

I also suspect most of the readers of this forum understand. Except Art
maybe.... I am not sure he understands anything.

we have a Biblical expert on our hands! Wonderful. Care to explain the rest of
your Bible to us, Dick? I say "your Bible" because you still haven't told us
what translation you're using, or how it is that you think you know the exact
nature of David's relationship with Jonathan. Just for the record, I would not
and do not claim that David and Jonathan had sex. I don't know what they did.
What I do know is that Jonathan loved David, and he bound himself to David,
soul to soul. Compare this passage to the passages describing David's mere
lust for Bathsheba, and you find something entirely different -- a
relationship more meaningful, more full, and more beautiful. That, to me, is
interesting.

About marriage, whether gay or straight: who knows which
married couple have sex and which don't? Who knows what kind of sex they have?
Missionary, wild and crazy, happy, miserable, forced, enthusiastic, or boring,
rote and routine? Marriage law doesn't ask, and married couples are not
obliged to tell. If a husband should suffer from ED, are he and his wife no
longer married? Particularly if his health won't allow him to take Viagra? Who
wants to make that argument? Marriage is about so much more than sex. It's
about love, commitment, and responsibility. It's about taking on one another's
burdens, in sickness and in health. My "sick mind" extends that relationship
to couples of the opposite sex as well as couples of the same sex. No need to
get into the gory details of the bedroom, Dick -- not unless you insist, in
which case you need to get off this list onto something triple-X.

Joan

heard Willie Nelson's new song, "Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly Fond of Each
