that would raise the sales tax to 6.25%, and eliminate the .3% property tax for
schools. The vote was 15 for, 20 against.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>As I write, it is ten minutes before three, Boise
time. The House will meet again at 4 PM. It's not clear what action
will be taken. I would expect to move the $75,000 homeowners' exemption
bill out on its own. It has received favorable votes in both House and
Senate, but the House needs to agree with Senate amendments.</FONT></DIV>
