being more clear. As for women: I think I remember Gier talking about
Christian missionaries as responsible for the education of women in <st1:country-region
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">India</st1:place></st1:country-region> (back
when I was his student). And ‘going to school’ is a bit separate from
‘no education’ I would think. As a side note: I quoted De Tocqueville
months ago about the independency, strength, and education he saw in <st1:country-region
w:st="on">America</st1:country-region> (in comparison to <st1:place w:st="on">Europe</st1:place>
I think). And as for ‘not loved’: I’m speaking again
sarcastically regarding the private-schooling parent’s potential attitude
towards those children in the public schools—not my money!<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
