not wanting to drive CC into Montana. I think a better guess would be in the
dead opposite direction and about 500 miles but I suppose that I could be wrong
As to the council and their need for your suggestion, I don't believe it's up to
them to say: No you can't have a school, But Ms. Opyr has a great idea. How
about a nice Italian restaurant? A strait up yea or nay will be more in keeping
with their mission.

interested in your thoughts and plans for their property? I am not a
engineer or a building contractor but I am fairly sure that there is no way
the scattaboe could be modified to become a meeting hall sufficient to
holding several hundred people. Certainly not via sweat equity.<?/x-tad-bigger><?/fontfamily>
<?fontfamily><?param Times New Roman><?bigger><?bigger> <?/bigger><?/bigger><?/fontfamily>
<?fontfamily><?param Arial><?x-tad-bigger>I

am a member of Christ Church, I painted the entire outside of NSA, I have
been a student at NSA two different times, and I’d prefer not to worship in
a basketball court. I was interested in Joan’s thoughts; and I said “IF” NSA
had to move, this would be a good idea. I was highlighting the more
constructive nature of her post and the fact that her agenda is apparently
not to run Christ Church into Montana. I am also a builder, and my hunch is
that the building could be remodeled for this use (although I could be
wrong). But my elder has told me not to write anything here that is
not just about my ‘personal issues,’ so I’ll plan on leaving at that.<?/x-tad-bigger><?/fontfamily>
<?fontfamily><?param Arial><?x-tad-bigger> <?/x-tad-bigger><?/fontfamily>
<?fontfamily><?param Arial><?x-tad-bigger>Michael

appreciate Michael's response. As for G. Crabtree, I have told many others and
now I tell you: don't try to teach your grandmother to suck eggs. I'm sure
it's the case that Doug Wilson is *not* interested in my solutions; he has
only ever displayed an interest in his own solutions. Quelle surprise. But I
don't really offer these zoning/usage suggestions for Mr. Wilson's
edification. I offered this one as an example to City Council of an
alternative (and legal) use for the Skattaboe Building. Some seem to be under
the impression that if NSA cannot be housed in the Skattaboe, then the
building must be razed to the ground. This is nonsense, and it is not what I
would hope for or want. I happen to find the building -- and its NSA
renovations -- beautiful. I just agree with EXISTING CITY CODE that
educational institutions do not belong downtown. Period. No arm-waving. No
panic. No need to tear up our comprehensive plan to "save" NSA. The college is
in no danger; it's just in the wrong location. Yosela bubela, so move it,
already!

Just for the record, as long as the solution to NSA's zoning
problem doesn't involve the decimation of downtown retail, I don't really care
what Doug does with his building. Personally, I'm hoping he'll turn the place
into an Olive Garden. I love their breadsticks.

Joan Opyr/Auntie
