<div>Way back in the late 70's, I was involved in the structural
remodeling of Fonk's Variety to its GTE configuration. Hard to
remember exactly how high the columns I installed were, but I'm pretty
sure they were at least 12' to the bottom of the beam. That era of
building construction usually involved a structural brick bearing wall
with column pilasters holding the end of floor and roof beams with
interior wood columns and beams to carry mid-span floor and roof
joists.</div>

been a student at NSA two different times, and I'd prefer not to
worship in a basketball court. I was interested in Joan's thoughts;
and I said "IF" NSA had to move, this would be a good idea. I was
highlighting the more constructive nature of her post and the fact
that her agenda is apparently not to run Christ Church into Montana. I
am also a builder, and my hunch is that the building could be
remodeled for this use (although I could be wrong). But my elder
has told me not to write anything here that is not just about my
'personal issues,' so I'll plan on leaving at
