<DIV><FONT size=4>In my opinion and I think many others, Linda Pike would be a
county commissioner now instead of Jack Nelson were it not for Donovan's
persistence in alienating voters for her. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=4><STRONG><FONT color=#ff0000>Donovan describing himself to

club manner (where truth is not the object, but to win the debate) with voters
really turned off many people that did not know Linda well.</FONT>
</STRONG>He also claimed that Linda was working on a plan to realign the

a machination as a benefitless-to-the-public power consolidation
move.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=4>Many of us wondered about Linda's judgment at using
Donovan at all. But he did do useful grunt work, a task that
he is admirably suited for. However, in my opinion, his overall effect
on her candidacy was extremely negative. I would like to support Linda
financially again, however if Donovan is going to have any kind of visible
role in her next campaign, I feel that giving money would be most likely
wasting it.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=4>I hope that Linda plans her next campaign well so as to
prevent a recurrence. Then many of us would gladly again give her
financial support.</FONT></DIV>

coming up in this thread, perhaps I should weigh in. <BR>> <BR>>
The persistence of the argument lies, I think, in Donovan Arnold's failure to
distinguish between "voting" and "having a voice."<BR>> <BR>> I am not a
city resident, and consequently may not vote in city elections. <BR>>
<BR>> Nevertheless, I'm free to hold opinions about Moscow city government,
and to express those opinions wherever I wish, including at City Council
meetings, which are (so far as I know) free to the public, not merely to the
voting public resident in Moscow.<BR>> <BR>> The City Council is
likewise free to ignore my opinions and ideas if they wish, whether because I
live in the county or because they find them objectionable in some
way.<BR>> <BR>> To recap: a) Melynda can't vote in Moscow
elections; b) Melynda may still express her thoughts about Moscow city
government; c) The City Council doesn't have to pay any attention to
Melynda.<BR>> <BR>> It seems so clear. . .<BR>> <BR>>
