face="Palatino Linotype" color=#0000ff size=2>Thank you so much for your
support. Our deputies are truly top-notch. I cannot imagine a more
professional and enthusiastic group of men and women. It is an honor to
serve alongside them. Sheriff Rausch has really inspired and motivated the
troops to go out there and look for crime--not just sit at the office and
wait for it to be reported. As such, the patrol division has developed (on
their own) new methods and systems for patrolling Latah County. Clearly,
those methods have been effective--as evidenced by the recently publicized
incidents. Our department morale is high and our deputies are conducting
much more self-initiated field activity. We appreciate community support
and feedback (even when negative) about how we are doing. Sheriff
Rausch's campaign slogan was "Welcome back to YOUR Sheriff's Office." We
truly believe we cannot be your Sheriff's Office without
your input. On a personal note, I agree--how nice to see campaign
promises upheld! Again, thank you.

Sheriff Rausch, the deputies, and the staff at the Latah County
Sheriff's Dept are to be congratulated for the successes you are having in
intercepting drugs in Latah County. Sheriff Rausch made that one of his campaign
promises and I have heard that campaign promise made lots of times in
other situations but he and his staff have made it happen. I'm sure we will be
hearing of many more drug finds by your drug dogs and handlers. Again,
congratulations.
