<P>The whole NSA zoning debacle epitomizes the antithesis between the faith and beauty of self-consciously Trinitarian culture and the unbelief resident in postmodern hyper-rational pettiness. It is just one more venue for the people of God to triumph over evil, for Israel to be exalted over the Philistines, for Jerusalem to conquer Athens. Recognizing this fact, we, the people of God, can pray with confidence:</P>

<P>From lies and from liars on the Palouse: Good Lord, deliver us.</P>
