<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV class=RTE><STRONG>Does anyone remember the community retreat held 6 years or so ago? I think there were some issues regarding growth, services, education and the direction Moscow should take for the future. It was widely discussed on vision2020 before the event, but I don't know if the ideas and concerns were really well known to local residents not subscribed to 2020. </STRONG></DIV>

<DIV class=RTE><STRONG>I don't remember any follow up. . . .other than a cookies and punch discussion of the results later that month. . . so I'm not sure what the purpose really was in the first place. Did we start something that could have been nurtured into meaningful community dialogue only to drop the ball? If the first retreat didn't live up to some expectations, that doesn't necessarily mean it was a bad idea. . . maybe it wasn't promoted in a way that made everyone feel like their opinion mattered. . . . or maybe it was because it was held in June. . . on a summer weekend. Everyone knows that the residents of Moscow clear out every chance they can to go to "the lake".</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV class=RTE><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV class=RTE><STRONG>But I think this does show that there's an on-going concern for the direction of our community. . . and maybe we need to air things out from time to time.</STRONG></DIV>
