Gritman contracts with many for-profit entities including physicians, medical equipment companies, etc. Just as schools contract with for-profit textbook companies, churches probably purchase wine and crackers for communion from for-profit companies, etc. Gritman does the same thing. We could not stay in business if we didn’t. But it is not owned by a large corporation that continually demands higher profits to be siphoned out of town. It is not owned by shareholders that want greater dividends paid. The bottom line at Gritman is invested right back into Gritman and the community to make it better. Therefore, the non-profit status according to the IRS.<BR>
