2004 Municipal Arborist of the Year Award from the Pacific Northwest Chapter

part of his duties Mr. Blanchard serves as the City Arborist. He is the staff
liaison to the City Tree Committee and oversees the overall community forestry
operation for the City. Working with the Tree Committee and the University of
Idaho, he recently established a tree nursery on the university research farm
where in a few years trees will be transplanted back into the community all
the while new trees are being planted in the nursery and students will have
additional trees to conduct research. Mr. Blanchard also donates an enormous
amount of time on planting projects around the City working with various
organizations and schools.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></B></P>
