How anyone can track these statements by members of the Bush administration and buy hook line and sinker the current spin offered to justify the Bush approach on Iraq is cause for wonder. Even if someone supports US nation building in Iraq, the evidence should compel an admission that Bush sometimes says whatever at the moment seems the best spin, and that this image of Bush as an unwavering thinker and leader is hogwash! The statements by Powell and Rice downplaying Saddam's threat during 2001 are revealing. Where was the panic over WMDs by the Bush administration in Iraq before 9/11? There was no panic because they knew there weren't any WMDs!<BR>

Bush was given instructions from the ideologues in his administration to push the WMD and Al Quada threat in Iraq to justify waging war on Iraq.<BR>
