Concert Planned for Zugunrue<o:p></o:p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 0.5in;">Zugunrue, a Troy-based
guitar trio
playing a diverse mix of blues, cowboy ballads, Celtic tunes and
contemporary folksongs,
will debut in Moscow on Friday, September 24, at 7:30pm at a house
concert
sponsored by the Palouse Folklore Society, at 314 East 2<sup>nd</sup>
Street
upstairs.<span style=""> </span>No admission will be charged
for this public concert, but donations will be accepted.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 0.5in;">Zugunrue (pronounced
zoo-gun-roo)
is based on the German word for the restlessness exhibited by birds
prior to
migration.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 0.5in;">The band’s repertoire
includes
about one-third original compositions mixed with a variety of
contemporary
music, as well as old standards like “Tennessee Waltz” and “Ghost
Riders in the
Sky.”<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 0.5in;">The three members of
the group have
been playing together for about six months, but they all have been
musicians
for many years.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 0.5in;">Henry C. Willard of <st1:City><st1:place>Moscow</st1:place></st1:City>
has played guitar with a variety of rock and country bands for about 40
years.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 0.5in;">Kelly Riley of <st1:City><st1:place>Troy</st1:place></st1:City>
is a vocalist and guitarist who has played guitar for 25 years.<span
style=""> </span>Riley writes the group’s original songs.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 0.5in;">David J. Vollmer of <st1:City><st1:place>Troy</st1:place></st1:City>
also plays guitar and sings in the band.<span style="">
</span>Vollmer has played in Palouse-area bands for ten years.<o:p></o:p></p>
