You can count on tricks of one kind or another to keep Bush in the White House.

We have Diebold voting machines manufactured by a company with an executive who said he will do everything in his power to keep Bush in power, the media giving credence to the US created puppet government in Iraq, as though it legitimately represents the people of Iraq, pumping up Bush's approval ratings, and Cheney using obscenities in the Senate, which attracted some attention, but the incident already seems to be forgotten by the media, rather odd when the Bush administration ran on being so morally clean and high minded, how they were going to clean up the White House after Clinton's scandals.

Yet can you imagine if Kerry or Edwards had uttered such words in an official governmental setting, how the Republican election machine would respond? Millions of dollars of slick ads painting the offender as morally bankrupt, a loose canon, not fit for leadership of the nation, etc. Perhaps the Democrats will give Cheney his due in the upcoming election battle making effective use of his outburst in political ads?

Also, some think Bin Laden is pinned down and they are waiting to grab him in October (surprise!) so the Bush administration can claim a great victory in the War on Terror.

If all appears to be failing, they can always use the Orwellian psychological tactics of the War On Terror to get the gullible fearful public to delay/derail the whole election.

I predict Bush stays in the White House.
