<P>If you have nothing else planned for tonight, you might want to head up to
the Latah County Courthouse for Part II of the continuing saga , "Rose Huskey
and Saundra Lund Dare to Question the Latah County Commissioners About Tax
Exemptions Given to New St. Andrews College and Anselm House."
<P>The fun begins at 6 p.m. in the commissioner's meeting room in the basement
of the courthouse. The story opened Tuesday when the women challenged the
tax-exempt status given in May to the Christ Church affiliated properties - a
unanimous decision that included the vote of Commissioner Paul Kimmell, a member
of Christ Church who also serves as executive director of the Moscow Chamber of
Commerce.
<P>The INKster has learned that Huskey and Lund have retained Moscow lawyer Mike
Curley as counsel in their appeal to the Board of Equalization. Kirker attorney
Gregory Dickison will appear on behalf of the college. To thicken the plot,
Dickinson also happens to be the Latah County public defender.
<P>Although Christ Church pastor Doug Wilson is in Virginia, the INKster was
told Thursday evening not to be surprised if he caught a redeye flight to be
back in time for tonight's meeting.
<P>The INKster spent more than a decade as a Nez Perce County commissioner, but
she doesn't recall any BOE scenario quite matching this intrigue.
