The second comment (following the Realclimate.org article by NASA's GISS
scientist Gavin Schmidt at website below) took a jab at the USA's continued
avoidance of the metric system.  Considering the appalling anti-scientific
attitude of many in the USA public, this avoidance is appropriate!

What is “Fahrenheit”?

But seriously, it would be very nice to have a °C or K version for the
world outside the United States, the Liberia and the Cayman Islands (the
only countries still using Fahrenheit).
