Steve Fiscus discussed "Property Tax Exemptions" at the League of Women Voters of Moscow forum in the Fiske Room of the 1912 Center. Property taxes are one of Idaho's largest sources of revenue. Exemptions to those taxes affect homeowners' tax bills as well as rents. Fiscus explained the relationship between exemptions and the payment of property taxes.
Fiscus has been employed by the Idaho State Tax Commission as the Property Tax Division administrator since 2005. He previously served as an appraiser with the Latah County Assessor's Office and was the county assessor from 1989 to 2004.
He graduated from North Idaho College in 1975 and attended the University of Idaho.
