Cat reunited with owner 4 years after going missing in Colorado
A seven-year-old cat named "Sid" that went missing four years ago in Colorado has finally been reunited with his owner after a thousand-mile journey to Texas.
Teller County Regional Animal (TCRAS) caught Sid in a trap set up for another cat who had been seen wandering around the shelter. That's when they scanned Sid's microchip, discovering that the feline belonged two states away in Texas.
Sid's owner relocated from Colorado to Texas for school after more than a year and a half of searching for his lost companion. Holding onto a glimpse of hope, the owner updated Sid's address on the online microchip registry.
"Sid and his human are so happy to be reunited,"TCRAS stated in a Facebook post on Sunday sharing footage of the heart-warming reunion. "We love stories with happy endings!"
Rescued Pets Movement will be helping the shelter reunite Sid with its owner after four long years.
