Lovina Englund discussed Palouse Land Trust (PLT) updates at the League of Women Voters of Moscow (LWV-Moscow) forum Wednesday (Jan. 15) in the Arts Workshop of the 1912 Center in Moscow.

The Palouse Land Trust is a nonprofit organization that works with families and individuals across the Palouse and north-central Idaho to conserve and protect the land including: working agricultural land and forests; healthy waterways and wildlife habitat; iconic landscapes; open spaces; outdoor recreation sites; and special ecosystems like the Native Palouse Prairie.

Englund is the executive director of PLT. She attended the University of Idaho majoring in rangeland ecology and management in the College of Natural Resources and earned a master's degree in 2007. She has held professional staff positions at the University of Idaho from 2006-2016 in both the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and the College of Natural Resources, and most recently with the Palouse Conservation District.
