When I was in the Army, assigned to the 802nd Engineer Battalion (Camp Humphreys - Anjong-Ri, Korea), February 1976 - March 1977, we had our own cadence call.  It went . . .

“Oh, soldier
Engineer soldier
Pick up your bottle and follow me
Into the village of Anjong-Ri”

(Those were the days, my friend)

My DA photo, included in Department of the Army Promotion Board packets (November 1985 - Fort Irwin, California) . . . 30 days before I reported to Company D, 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry (Harvey Barracks - Kitzingen, Germany) . . . six months before I was promoted to Sergeant First Class . . . three-and-a-half years before I retired.
