Update: Moscow Police investigation into solving explosive device case

MOSCOW, ID — New information on the Moscow Police Department investigation into an explosive device found on Wednesday in a mobile home park.

Police do not have any suspects or witnesses at this time, but Moscow Police Chief James Fry said that he likes their odds in solving this case.

"I think they are pretty good actually this is an isolated incident we believe we understand it's kinda one of those cases that is very serious in nature and has people alarmed so we're looking into it and we'll take care of it as soon as we can,” Chief Fry says.

Detective John Lawrence is overseeing the investigation.

Moscow PD is currently trying to track down the owner and past residents of the trailer.

The Spokane bomb squad determined the device was active and disposed of it at the scene.

Residents in the 400 block of Almon Street were evacuated for most of the afternoon and early evening.

Officials say the device was homemade, and the size of a small pipe bomb. It was planted on the lawn.
