The 26th annual Martin Luther King Human Rights Community Breakfast was held on Saturday (January 19th) in the Multi-Purpose Room at Moscow Middle School.

This year's keynote address, "From Civil Rights to Human Rights," was presented by Dr. Shirley Jackson, professor and chair of black studies at Portland State University.

The breakfast also included a presentation of the Rosa Parks Human Rights Achievement Awards by Mayor Bill Lambert, which honors community members and students who have made contributions to the cause of human rights, equality and justice.

The mayor also announced the winners of the Martin Luther King Jr. Art and Essay Contest.
