[Vision2020] Say what?

Not enough details in this story that reads like an opinion piece with comments of "But ICE lies, and all the time. They lie about raids, they lie about Dreamers being gang members, and they probably lied to this family."

If she had a chance to say "goodbye" then this wouldn't be any type of news story?  I'm completely unfamiliar with our asylum laws but some department seems to be asleep at the switch for an 18 year gap to pass between when she arrived and when she was deported.  This through an 8 years W. Bush's Administration followed by an 8 years of Obama's Administration if that matters whatsoever.
