MPD searching for this person

The Moscow Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest in an ongoing sexual assault case.

Earlier this month, police say a woman in Moscow was unlocking the door to her apartment when a man, also in the hallway of the apartment complex, pushed her inside the apartment and into her bedroom.

Once in the bedroom, the man sexually assaulted her, the woman told police.

The alleged attacker was a white male with light brown hair. He was said to be about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighed an estimated 240 pounds, wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Moscow Police Chief called the attack “a crime of opportunity.”

The attached sketch was created by Moscow police using information from individuals involved in the investigation.

“We need the community’s help,” Fry said. “Somebody knows him.”
