[Vision2020] Political storm around Trump leads to 'talk of impeachment' — but it's not likely

If I were surveyed, I would also say immigration is now becoming a top problem since Trump Administration policy and actions have served to increase immigration-related concerns (e.g., separating families, deporting people that it makes no sense to deport). It also worries me because more conservative-leaning people tend to see immigration as the big bad boogie man and many are just spreading fear and politicizing things that should not be politicized (e.g., recent murder of girl in Iowa. It's not relevant that the suspect was an immigrant.)
Perhaps you interpret the poll as 'Democrats are finally coming around to the inherent evils of immigration' but that's not how I would interpret it.

Needs 2/3rds vote of the Senate for conviction, so it's pointless without a huge swing in political power or public opinion. I don't see any Howard Bakers on the Republican side (a la Nixon & Watergate) willing to convict a criminal President of their own party. The Republicans made the same miscalculation with Clinton, but it did rid us (mostly) Of Newt Gingrich.

"Even Democrats are mostly keeping quiet about impeachment to avoid motivating the Republican base before the elections. Public opinion polls have also shown a general unease among the American public when asked if they would like to see Trump impeached should the Democrats win control of the House."
