[Vision2020] Aretha Franklin, Queen of Soul, dead at 76

I’m not sure how to live in a world not shared by Aretha.  I think one of my life’s regrets will be that I never managed to see her perform in person.

Aretha Franklin, Queen of Soul, dead at 76

 

Aretha Franklin, the long-reigning Queen of Soul who sang with matchless style on classic songs and her signature track Respect, died Thursday at age 76, said her representative, Gwendolyn Quinn.

 

Cause of death is advanced pancreatic cancer.
