And here folks is a prime example of why we do NOT base our govt on any god's laws but our good founding lawyers from England gave us a system based on the King's common laws and included this when drafting the Magna Carta...In case any lawmakers in the capitol FORGOT! Seems some dinosaurs would advocate for the days of torturing heretics & branding women with scarlett A's on the chest or For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge on their forehead? The dinosaurs were unable to progress fast enough and went extinct.

According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health<https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/12/18/aging-boomers-increasingly-embrace-marijuana-heavy-alcohol-use/?utm_term=.f2071825a8a1>, marijuana use amongst older people in the United States is increasing more than any other demographic. In the past ten years, cannabis use amongst 50 to 64 year-olds increased 57.8 percent and 250 percent amongst people 64-years-old or older.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A June 2016 Quinnipiac poll<https://www.thecannabist.co/2016/06/06/quinnipiac-poll-medical-marijuana-veterans-ptsd/55640/> showed that 54 percent of adults surveyed favored the legalization of marijuana use in the United States and 89 percent supported allowing adults to legally use medical marijuana if their doctor prescribes it.

Flash-forward to now: 59 percent of adults surveyed favored the legalization of marijuana use in the United States, and 93 percent supported allowing adults to legally use medical marijuana if their doctor prescribes it, according to Thursday?s poll.

The latest poll results show the public has grown to accept marijuana, use and they believe there are other more pressing issues that should garner concern, Malloy said.

?(Marijuana?s) acceptance is growing yearly, monthly,? he said. ?There?s never been a downturn.?

Medical marijuana?s support base shown by the recent poll is a ?profound stamp of approval,? Malloy said.

Poll finds 87% of millennials believe marijuana is safer than alcohol

Everyone knows millennials love marijuana<https://www.thecannabist.co/2017/08/19/cannabis-industry-jobs-young-people/86439/>.

Now, a handful of polls by The Tylt<https://thetylt.com/> back up that claim ? and the numbers are staggering.

In a study which polled over 6,000 millenial-aged users<https://thetylt.com/politics/legalize-marijuana-weed-2018>, 84% believe marijuana should be legalized.

Other cannabis-related findings from the The Tylt:

  * 87.6% of millennials believe marijuana is safer than alcohol<https://thetylt.com/culture/is-weed-safer-than-alcohol>
  * 85.6% of millennials believe that marijuana is actually good for your health<https://thetylt.com/culture/marijuana-weed-good-bad-for-health>
  * 93.2% say marijuana is better for athletes than painkillers, opioids<https://thetylt.com/sports/marijuana-sports-painkillers-nba-nfl-mlb-nhl>
  * 89.2% want marijuana to be allowed in sports<https://thetylt.com/sports/marijuana-legalize-nba-nfl-mlb-nhl-sports>
  * 81.2% believe criminals serving time for marijuana-related crimes should be released<https://thetylt.com/politics/marijuana-crimes-released-prison>
  * 54.4% think marijuana should be allowed to be consumed in public<https://thetylt.com/politics/marijuana-use-public-private>

The Tylt is a website that claims to be ?the largest and fastest growing social polling and opinion platform among millennials? and it has made culture waves in its polls since its creation in 2016.
