Swastikas, bomb threat found drawn on WSU dorm

PULLMAN, Wash. – A dormitory on the Washington State University campus was found to be vandalized with multiple swastikas and a “vague bomb threat” on Monday night.

WSU Police confirmed the incident began at about 10 p.m. at Stimson Hall.

“The RAs were walking through the hall and came across a couple swastikas that were either drawn or scratched into the wall,” WSU Police Lieutenant Mike Larsen said.

He said they were later called back after two more swastikas were found in the basement and a “vague bomb threat” was seen. The building was evacuated and no explosive devices were found, Larson confirmed.

WSU students recently held a “March against White Supremacy” in response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia involving white supremacist groups and counter protesters.

The president of WSU’s College Republicans chapter resigned last Monday, after attending that “Unite the Right” rally.

No photos of the scene were immediately available, WSU Police said.
