Martin Luther King Center in Spokane vandalized with racial slurs

SPOKANE, Wash. - An employee of the Martin Luther King Center says they arrived to work Tuesday morning to find their building and transport van had been tagged with racial slurs. 

Picture sent to KHQ show the "N-word" was sprayed painted in red paint on the side of the building and on the center's transport van. 

"I am sitting here at the MLK Jr Center in Spokane. This happened last night in OUR community. Gathering here at noon. Hope you will join us to stand against hate.," Spokane City Council President Ben Stuckart posted on Facebook Tuesday morning. "I never want to hear "let it go" or "get over it" again. Last week's election gave people permission to act like this. Do not pretend in your bubble that these are isolated instances."
