The "sickness" is to use a tragedy to further a liberal agenda by passing
knee jerk legislation that would have done nothing to prevent the crime in
question.

It amazes me that the thought of bruising the civil liberties of between
two and three million American Muslims by treating them to a little bit of
extra surveillance in Mosques and airports is unthinkable and yet the
notion of stepping all over the rights of over 70 million firearms owners
is entirely reasonable.
