Moscow man charged with eleven felonies for allegedly possessing child porn
A 26 year old Moscow man has been charged with multiple felonies for allegedly possessing child pornography.  William Ames is in custody at the Latah County Jail in Moscow pending 11 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.  The case began in March when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent at tip to the Moscow Police Department.  The department’s computer forensic detective tracked the online child porn to an address at a home on A Street.  Detectives were led to a renter at the residence who reportedly admitted to having child porn files on his laptop.  Authorities obtained a search warrant and seized the computer and allegedly found dozens of the illegal images.  Ames is scheduled to have his preliminary hearing next week in Latah County Second District Court.
